Mr. Zhang, ChunHe is a master-rated conductor of great musical talent. A national first class conductor of China and a member of Chinese Musicians Association, he is among the first group of the privileged artist stipend recipients acknowledged by the Chinese government. Studied in China Central Music College and European Mater’s Class for Conducting Arts, he has a deep and intimate grasp of the quintessence of the master conductors, such as the senior conductor of China Central Philharmonic Liangkun Yan and the renowned American conductor Herbert Von Zipper.

Mr. Zhang was the principal orchestra conductor of Tianjin Opera House for 8 years. Since coming to the U.S.in 1998, he served simultaneously as the first associate conductor of New York Symphonic Art Ensemble (NYSAE), and as the artistic director and chief conductor of Haiyun Chorus of NYC. He used to conduct a choir performance of as many as 200 singers from eight different ethnic choruses. Mr. Zhang was also employed as a judge of several arts organizations, including the “American Music Teacher Association”.

极具音乐才华的大师级指挥家张椿和是中国国家一级指挥和首批国务院政府特殊津贴获得者，中国音乐家协会会员，曾就读中央音乐学院和欧洲指挥艺术大师班，深谙中外指挥大师精髓，包括指挥过千场《黄河大合唱》的中央乐团元老严良堃，美国著名指挥大师齐佩尔（Herbert Von Zipper）等。

张指挥担任过天津歌舞剧院的首席小提琴和管弦乐队指挥。1998年来美后，曾同时担任“纽约艺术交响乐团”指挥和纽约“海韵合唱团”音乐总 监与首席指挥，期间曾指挥过由纽约艺术交响乐团伴奏，八个中外合唱团参加的多达200人之众大合唱。此外，张指挥还受聘于包括“美国音乐教师联合协会”在内多个艺术组织的比赛评委。

2006至2016年在国内期间，曾担任多个专业和业余合唱团及交响乐团指挥，以及“西安交响乐团业务考核”，“青岛合唱团艺术节”等评委。2015年曾应“乡音合唱团”邀请，参加并指挥了两场百人“黄河大合唱”。

张指挥为人谦和、儒雅，极具深厚的艺术修养和丰富的指挥经验，精通中外不同语言的经典合唱精品。尤其难得的是，因为十年来活跃在中国的艺术舞台上，对近年来国内涌现出的大批优秀合唱作品非常熟悉。其激情而适度、细腻而洒脱的指挥风格非常具有人格魅力，赢得中外人士的广泛赞誉。

Former Music Director & Conductor: Bin Lü 

前任艺术指导兼指挥: 吕彬

A graduate of the Shanghai Music Conservatory in vocal art, Mr. Bin Lü performed as a vocalist and vocal coach with several major music organizations in Beijing, China, such as the Central Chinese Song and Dance Ensemble, the China Broadcast Chorus, the Chinese Symphonic Ensemble and the Chinese Central Opera House. Mr. Lü is an accomplished vocal teacher; many of his students have become renowned vocalists and university professors in China. 

Mr. Lü has been actively involved in Chinese music research, especially in the area of the folk songs of ethnic minorities within China. He has published numerous articles in national journals and organized a number of symposiums on the teaching and research of minority vocal arts. He was a main organizer of several national vocal competitions. 

Having devoted most of his professional life to choral music, Mr. Lü has a great passion for this musical form. He directed and taught at many professional choral groups in China at both the national and local levels. 

Since he immigrated to the U.S. in 1999, Mr. Lü has been very active in providing art services and promoting choral singing in the community. He is a co-founder of the Edison Chinese Chorus and served as its Music Director and Conductor for 16 years. Mr. Lü has devoted remarkable energy to the chorus to improve the vocal and artistic quality of its members. 

吕彬先生毕业于上海音乐学院声乐系，师从葛朝祉教授。吕彬先生曾在北京中央民族歌舞团多年，担任声乐教员兼演员。后期，吕先生曾被聘于许多国家级文艺团体任演员及艺术辅导工作，其中包括中国广播合唱团，中国交响乐团，中央歌剧院，总政文工团等。在此期间，吕先生曾参加过多次全国大型重要演出。吕彬先生对中国民族声乐有很深的研究和造旨，并在许多全国性专业杂志上发表过多篇有关声乐的论文。他曾在中国文化部负责全国声乐方面的教学，研究及发展工作。期间，他多次组织过全国民族声乐理论研讨会，全国民族文化艺术表演，比赛，艺术节及博览会。吕彬先生又是一位出色的声乐教育家。他教出了很多优秀的声乐人才，有的成为教授或付教授，有的成为国家一，二级演员。吕彬先生对合唱艺术有着一种特殊的感情。在国内期间，他曾为许多专业及业余合唱团体排练合唱及辅导声乐。1999年来美之后，又在新泽西的众多合唱团里担任艺术指导和指挥。吕彬先生是乡音合唱团的创始人之一，并担长期任其艺术指导和指挥。他为乡音合唱团的成长倾注了大量的心血。乡音合唱团在声音质量及演出水平上的提高是与吕彬先生的多年努力不可分开的。
